Dough Disco

Dough Disco is one of the most important things we do in Year 1. By manipulating and shaping the dough we are developing our fine motor skills, hand-eye coordination and the muscles in our fingers, which in turn helps us when it comes to our writing and pencil control. By passing the dough from side to side and crossing our arms across our body, we are also firing up all those synapses in the brain and making lots of connections in our brain, which helps with our cognitive development and gets us ready for learning. Most of all though, Dough Disco is lots of fun and allows us to move along and sing along in a fun way.

Sending Christmas Wishes To Others Across The School

Still image for this video
As the school term ended with us all being in 'bubbles' due to covid-19, and us not being able to mix with others, Class 1 recorded a special Christmas message for the other classes and people who were ill at home to let them know that we were thinking about them.
