Our aspiration for mathematicians at St Peter's:
Mathematics is the language of the universe.

over centuries, providing the solution to some of history’s most intriguing problems.'
At St. Peter's, we know that Maths is critical to everyday life, science, technology, engineering, financial literacy and required in most forms of employment. Our curriculum provides children with a foundation for understanding the world, an ability to reason mathematically and an appreciation of the beauty and power of Mathematics. Through the teaching of Maths, we endeavour to foster a sense of curiosity in the subject. Our aim is for all pupils, starting from the Early Years Foundation Stage, to become fluent in the fundamentals of Mathematics, reason mathematically and solve problems. By teaching Maths this way, we believe this will enable our pupils to apply their mathematical knowledge to science and other subjects and develop life skills in order to prepare them for high school and beyond.
