Literacy

Today in Literacy we are thinking about writing a newspaper report (recount) about something we have done. This work will feed in to our newspaper report writing about the Royal Ball later on in the week. Today the children need to write a report about something that has happened to them or that they have done (e.g. a holiday, Christmas, a visit somewhere, a special birthday etc.). You can use the writing template if you want, or you can just write it straight in to the books. Click on the red link below to access the lesson

Maths

Today in Maths we are going to be thinking about ordering groups of objects. You will be able to order groups by how many objects are in a group from the least to the greatest, and the greatest to the least. You can access the video lesson and the resources by clicking the links below.            If you find that your child is able to access today's Maths confidently, let them try the Gold Maths Challenge below which has a range of reasoning questions related to our Numbers to 20 Maths topic.

The Gold Maths Challenge

If you complete today's Maths work and you want another challenge have a go at doing some of our 'Ultimate Disney Maths Challenge' reasoning questions by clicking on the link below. There are 14 questions all related to our topic of 'Numbers to 20'. Try doing 2 or 3 of those each day as an extra challenge

PE

Today in PE we are starting our 'Dance' unit of work. This unit will last throughout this half term and run into next half term. The theme for our Dance unit is 'Toys.' For our PE lessons, make sure that you have plenty of room to move around, and just like you would in school make sure that you are looking where you are going, and you are listening to instructions. This will help to keep you safe. Also make sure that you have a drink to hand, and stay hydrated. You will also need a piece of paper and a pen or pencil for part of this activity.

Today with Miss Piper we're going to be thinking about the characters from Toy Story. We'll be coming up with movements for the different characters. Click on the red link below to access the lesson.
