English - Guided Reading

Today's English lesson is focused on our class reader, 'The Firework Maker's Daughter' by Philip Pullman.  We will focus on inference questions mostly about the main character Lila. If you have a copy of the model text printed out you can highlight key words. 

Spelling / Handwriting

Look at your spellings for this week. Find the root word for each of your spellings. e.g. basically has the root word 'basic'. Then write 5 of your words into interesting sentences. 

 

  • Spelling shed Please practice for at least 5 minutes on spelling shed.
