Literacy

Handwriting

This is new learning for the children. They have all been taught the lower case letters in precursive and some are now ready to learn joins. If your child found the letter on its own tricky, then keep practising that rather than joining. Please message me for advice if you are unsure.

*Please ensure your child does not start joining up their handwriting until all the joins have been taught, unless they are already doing this. 

Phonics

Link to phonics live lesson at 9.30am for children following the programme. The video will then be available for 24 hours.

Parents/Carers, I will have sent you a message telling you if this is your child.

Spelling

Spend 10 minutes practising this week's spellings. They are also on the spelling shed!

Finishing off / Practising skills

Please use this afternoon to finish off any un-finished tasks from this week.

You could also practise something you found tricky this week to consolidate your learning.
